Smartext

Auto replaces text in SMS with emoji, addresses, and user-defined content.

Product, UX, Branding, App Design • Yaron Azulay & Tomer Shamir • 2012

Back in 2012, SMS messages were not enough interactive and visual.
Emojis were not part of the messaging as it is now, it was really at the start but very far from being visual and engaging.

The Problem

We built an app that turns certain words automatically into emojis. Recognizing addresses syntax and making them clickable integrated with navigation apps on the device.

Solution

Initial Screens Design

During the onboarding stage, the driver fills in all of his experience and preferences.

Tracking active and past jobs and status for each one.

The driver can submit his weekly timesheet directly from the app.

Exploring job offers and applying for a job from the Explore tab.
